How do you deal with frustration in a healthy way?
Question by sara.lynn22: How do you deal with frustration in a healthy way?
I have used alcohol, drugs, self-mutilation, sex, anger to deal with life for the last ten years. I have been in and out of abusive relationships all of my life. I am having an extremely hard time just dealing with life and just staying sober and sane. I know i need to learn better ways to deal with issues but i feel like i like i am more ready to self-destruct know more than ever. Being sober is very difficult and i don’t even see the point most of the time. Please help.

What do you think? Answer below!

Get five pieces of computer paper and stab it with a pencil. And rip it up pretending that you’re ripping up whatever is causing trouble.
I have alot of compassion for women in your position.
And what I can tell you is that you’ve been controlled for these 10 long hard years. The first thing you need to know is that it isn’t your fault.
If nothing else helps, though from a stranger, I can genuinely say that I love you.
God loves you, and doesn’t make junk. And he wants you well. Don’t associate God with those men. He’s nothing like them.
What I have done to straighten myself out (and not everyone can do this), is isolated myself to discover me again. Throughout my life, I have always been told to act this way, talk this way, apply this principle, use this line….When in all acuality, it was teaching me to ignore myself and do what made others happy.
This is going to sound crazy coming from a Christian, but this is the time to get selfish. Move. Change your phone number. Leave town. Don’t tell anyone. Get your own place. Help yourself BEFORE helping anyone else. Find out what makes you happy. Make your house a home for YOU, and only YOU for now. Get a rinky dink job that pays the rent, feeds you, puts gas in the car, and insurance on it.
I’m serious. Just freakin’ DISAPPEAR. Tell NO ONE, and just GO. This is a time for YOU. Once you have learned how you like things for yourself, you will change like I did. You won’t take any guff from anyone, and you WON’T let them cross the line.
Another thing. Close the gaps in your psyche that allow people to drain you of your energy and spiritual resources. That leads to them stealing everything ELSE from you. Close ALL DOORS that lead to you. You will know when to open them again. God is with you. KNOW THAT!
